Singapore, it’s finally happening.
Three talks. One spot. Zero chill. All nerd.
After popping up in more than 100 cities around the world, Nerd Nite is making its Singapore debut.
Part science, part storytelling, part pub night, Nerd Nite is where passionate people take the stage to share the topics they can’t stop thinking about. Every speaker gets 20 minutes to dive into their favourite rabbit hole, whether that’s science, history, design, psychology, art, obscure hobbies, or something wonderfully unexpected.
Just curious people, fascinating talks, and a room full of strangers who enjoy learning something new.
For our very first Singapore edition, you’ll discover how vintage movie posters became cultural time capsules, explore what it’s like to experience the world through synaesthesia, and hear from one final mystery speaker whose obsession we’ll reveal soon.
Arrive early, grab a drink, and kick off the evening with a live quiz for a chance to win a mystery prize before the talks begin.
Whether you’ve been to a Nerd Nite overseas or this is your first time hearing about it, there’s never been a better time to embrace your curiosity.
Be there. Be Square.
Shane
Film Posters: More Than Movie Ads
Description
Ever wondered why vintage movie posters look so different from today’s? Or why collectors are willing to spend thousands chasing original prints?
Historian and film poster collector Shane explores the fascinating world of original cinema posters, from the 1940s to today, revealing how these artworks became reflections of changing cultures, filmmaking, and graphic design.
Better yet, he’ll be bringing pieces from his personal collection, giving you the rare opportunity to see original cinema posters up close.

Shane holds a Master’s in War Studies from King’s College London and has spent years collecting original film posters from around the world. His passion sits at the intersection of film history, design, and storytelling, uncovering the surprising stories hiding behind some of cinema’s most iconic artwork.
Keith
Synaesthesia
Description
What if your senses weren’t separate?
What if music had colour, flavours had texture, and creativity became something you could experience with your entire body?
Keith explores the fascinating world of synaesthesia and how connecting our senses can change the way we create, observe, and understand the world around us.
Drawing from years immersed in music, visual art, and specialty coffee, this talk invites you to experience creativity from an entirely different perspective.
Bio
Keith is a multidisciplinary creative whose curiosity has taken him through music, visual art, design, and specialty coffee. Fascinated by the way our senses influence one another, he enjoys exploring the intersections between creativity, perception, and everyday experience.
Mystery Speaker
To Be Announced
One final speaker is still under wraps.
We’ll be revealing our mystery presenter soon, but trust us, it’ll be worth the wait.
